Guides such as Song, Susu, and Than are praised for their warmth and cultural insight. Expect a busy schedule, basic hotel, and weather-dependent views.

“We loved our guide Song, who took us on a 3hour trek through the villages and Rice paddies. She was from a local tribe and talked a ,ot about her culture and their way of life. She was a very gentle and sweet person. Trip up to Fanzipan was great. Excellent views from cable car on the way up. Misty at the top so no view, but this is common. Great experience anyway. For people who don't want to walk the 600 steps you can catch a mono rail to the top. We did feel giddy from the high altitude of 3400 meters.”
