1.Mt Fuji and Hakone 1-Day Bus Tour Return by Bullet Train

★★★★★★★★★★5.0 · 26,383 reviews · from $163Our pick

This full-day Tokyo outing combines Mt. Fuji’s 5th Station, a buffet lunch, the Hakone Ropeway, a Lake Ashi cruise, and a Shinkansen ride back to Tokyo. An English-speaking guide such as Sora, Hiro, Momo, or Levin leads the day, with audio guidance in several languages. It suits first-time visitors who want many major sights in one organized trip.

“Our guide Momo was wonderful, and the tour was wonderful, especially since Mt Fuji was as clear as a bell. The variety of the bus ride, Fuji, the cable car ride, the Ninja restaurant, Lake Hakone, and the Bullet train back to Tokyo was very nice. The offered meal was very tasty, but the way it was served or buffeted was less than Japanese esthetic.”

“It was a cloudy day and, of course, everyone was asking: "Will we see Mt. Fugi?". Fortunately, we did. One of our first stops was a recreated, ancient village. It was a gift to see this charming village. At that point, the trip was already a success. Our guide, Kogi, was intelligent, knowledgeable, patient and informative. He did a great job and displayed a very positive attitude that showed his love and respect for the areas we visited. For me, the different views of Mt. Fugi were nothing short of amazing. I recommend the tour for those who want to see and learn more of beautiful, fascinating Japan.”
